EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS 2017
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS 2017

Our History

Oasis were formed in 1989 by Alison Williamson and Kerry Eastwood and were later joined by Danny Dawes. All three were former members of the extremely successful team Pegasus before starting Oasis.

We were first formed under the name of Starlight Twirlers and we remained as this for a couple of years before changing our name to Oasis Twirlstars. We have been this ever since, although we are more commonly known as simply 'Oasis'.

Originally all our members lived in Basingstoke, but as the years progressed and our success grew, twirlers came to join us from all over southern England, some as far away as Devon and Kent!

Our first European Championships was in 1992, just 3 years after we were formed. Since then we have gone on to amass no less than 15 European individual and team titles and 3 World titles! To see a full list of all of our European and World awards, visit the awards page on the left.
